Beating Louisville is one of John Calipari's favorite habits as Kentucky's basketball coach. Over the years he's brought joy to the BBN almost every time the two teams have met. Despite the Wildcats' slow start in 2020, Calipari's 11-2 record over Louisville is one reason to be optimistic for the rivalry's renewal this Saturday. Before celebrating the joyous Christmas holiday, relive some of the most wonderful Kentucky-Louisville moments from the last 11 seasons.

2010: What Elbow?

If the refs didn't see DeMarcus Cousins throw a bow into Jared Swopshire's face, neither did I. Cousins finished with 18 points and 18 rebounds in a nine-point win over the Cards, the first of many for Calipari.

2010: Yummy Jorts

Josh Harrelson played spoiler in Kentucky's first trip to the Yum! Center. Insistent on double-teaming Terrence Jones, Rick Pitino dared Jorts to win the game for UK, so he did, scoring a career-high 23 points and grabbing 14 boards in a dominant 78-63 win. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f52QcePkUjE

2012: What does Anthony Davis own?

I've never been able to determine if Anthony Davis owns "this state" or something else. Either way, a few months after MKG went for 24 and 19 at Rupp, the National Player of the Year had 18 points, 14 rebounds and five blocked shots to send the Wildcats to the National Championship Game. https://youtu.be/tvS5gPMn0Vk

2014: Aaron Harrison's Great Story Begins

Not even the defending National Champions could defeat John Calipari's Cats, falling in the regular season and in the Sweet 16 after Aaron Harrison delivered the first of three unforgettable NCAA Tournament daggers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P456rEWQpXs

2015: No Blood, No Foul

Tyler Ulis took one to the dome but remain unfazed. The freshman led UK in scoring with 14 points to continue the Wildcats' undefeated run with a 58-50 win over fourth-ranked Louisville. The following year he knocked down four three-pointers to score 21 points and carry the Cats to a two-point victory. https://youtu.be/KtucDgeQ06M In what would be his final game at Rupp Arena, Pitino left the court by flipping off the BBN.

2017: Hello, Shai

Hours before the Wildcats kicked off against Northwestern in the Music City Bowl, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander gave Kentucky fans plenty of reasons to have a Happy New Year. Before he was a rising star in he NBA, he was the four-star recruit coming off the bench. SGA went insane, scoring 24 points to propel UK to a 29-point blowout victory over the Cardinals and interim head coach David Padgett. https://youtu.be/9mvmQw1BnfU

2018: I Need a Herro

Tyler introduced Chris Mack to the rivalry by knocking down four-of-six threes to score 24 points in a 71-58 win over the Cards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfByY697hUE

2019: Dunk Yes

An ugly game that was filled with fouls, Kentucky had to grind out a win in overtime at Rupp Arena. A tie ballgame with less than a minute remaining, Ashton Hagans provided the exclamation point at Rupp Arena. https://youtu.be/YcnZ8NCIlGU
