With Matt Jones out for the day as his father undergoes surgery, Tom Hart stepped up to the KSR host plate and knocked it out of the park. He hosted the entire show by phone (a first in KSR history) from his house in Atlanta with the rest of us dialed into the broadcast from Lexington and Louisville, a real mess of a technical issue on the back end but none of you would’ve known that had I not just told you.
We also heard from UK great John Pelphrey in the first hour, as well as Hart’s producer in the XFL, Mandy Cohen, who produced the Chicago Bulls broadcasts in the 90s and knows that era better than anyone we could’ve called to talk about “The Last Dance.”
For approximately one minute this morning @tom_hart made us feel like role players on MJ's Bulls and I'll never be able to repay him for that adrenaline rush. @ryanlemond @ShannonTheDude #TheLastDance2 pic.twitter.com/LU0Arz8rCd

Then of course Ryan Lemond met his quota of at least one Ryan Lemond moment during the show, as stated in his contract, when he fell asleep at the co-host wheel during a conversation about the Unforgettables.
It’s all there and more in today’s two-hour podcast:
Thanks again to Tom for stepping in on short notice hosting a difficult show on the fly and #PrayersForLarry as Matt’s dad recovers.
