PJ Washington made a brief appearance on ESPNU today

PJ Washington is in New York City today for the GEICO Nationals, where he is supporting Findlay Prep in high school basketball’s national championship tournament. Washington’s father, Paul, is Findlay Prep’s head coach, and his younger brother, Spencer, is a senior on the team.

During Findlay Prep’s game Thursday afternoon, ESPNU tracked PJ down in the crowd to bring him on air for a brief interview. He spoke about supporting his family in the Big Apple and said his focus is only on school in the weeks ahead.

The admirable and handsome Curtis Burch captured the video for your viewing pleasure, while doing laundry, it sounds:

I doubt he even bothers with going to the combine. My thought is that he gets surgery on his pinky finger, wraps up this semester, goes home for a couple of weeks during recovery after school is over, then he comes back with the incoming freshmen in the summer just in time for the fun to begin.

I agree… I don’t think he leaves at all and will be a huge asset during our run for number nine.

Hopefully, he’ll handle this like Terrance Jones did…

In other words, suck it up, don’t make any excuses, and help lead us to a ‘ship next season…

I think he’ll come back. It
seems his family is not in great need for money. So hopefully he comes back to strengthen his draft stock.

I just seen on espnu that Nelson Johnson got hurt, and there is swelling starting to happen. Just haven’t heard what is injured.
