Earlier today, I shared of picture of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in a North Carolina letter jacket, the result of a bet he lost with teammate Marvin Williams, a UNC alum. To negate the pain of seeing MKG in Tar Heel blue, we’ve got this story from MLB.com’s AJ Cassavell about San Diego Padres catcher Austin Hedges and Padres manager, Andy Green, a former Kentucky baseball great who holds the program’s all-time hits record.

Hedges, a UCLA fan, bet Green, also a Lexington native, that the Bruins would beat the Cats on Friday night. As we know, that didn’t happen, and as a result, Hedges had to warm up for yesterday’s workout in a full Kentucky basketball uniform, checkerboard and all:

Awesome. Also, well done, Andy on getting a complete uniform so quickly. The Kentucky Wildcat socks are a nice touch.
