Oscar Combs retiring from the UK Basketball and Football Pregame Shows

It’s the end of an era, my friends. Oscar Combs is retiring from the UK Basketball and Football pregame shows. Oscar announced the news via Twitter a few minutes ago.
“Just want to take a couple minutes to answer several questions that have been floating my way over the spring & summer,” Oscar wrote. “First, in June I notified JMI Sports I would not longer be involved with the @UKRadioNetwork football & basketball pregame shows. Let me assure you I have enjoyed nothing more than interacting & sharing stories with Big Blue Nation past two decades on UK Radio Network.”
“I won’t go into details why I decided to turn to another chapter in my life, but I will still be around on Twitter & perhaps other venues. Let me just say, it’s been a fantastic way to keep in contact with UK fans & the sports they love to follow. Thank you all for listening.”
Matt has cohosted the basketball pregame show with Oscar the past few years along with Dave Baker, and plans to discuss the changes more on tomorrow’s show.
For now, thank you for the memories, Mr. Combs. As someone who grew up listening to you, it’s been an honor.
