In 2009 John Wall took the first step to putting Kentucky basketball back on the map.
After limping through two years of Billy Gillespie basketball, the BBN needed a significant statement game to let the world know, “We’re baaaaaack.” Kentucky had been outscored by North Carolina 163-135 the previous two years, but these Cats were a different breed. Kentucky exploded out to an early lead before beating the 10th-ranked Tar Heels 68-66.
In case you forgot how great John Wall was…
I could spend all day watching this on a loop.
