Odds for Two Wildcats to be Named NCAA Tournament MOP

You can place a bet on just about anything in Las Vegas, including who will win Most Outstanding Player of the 2018 NCAA Tournament.  Of the two dozen or so finalists, a pair of Wildcats are near the top of the list.

With 12-to-1 odds, Kevin Knox is tied for fourth with three others.  Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has incredible value at 18-to-1.  A look at others in Bovada’s pool:

  • Marvin Bagley III, Duke, 6/1
  • Jalen Brunson, Villanova, 6/1
  • Grayson Allen, Duke, 10/1
  • Mikel Bridges, Villanova, 12/1
  • Kevin Knox, Kentucky, 12/1
  • Devonte Graham, Kansas, 12/1
  • Johnathan Williams, Gonzaga, 14/1
  • Killian Tillie, Gonzaga, 15/1
  • Mo Wagner, Michigan, 15/1
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kentucky, 18/1
  • “Svi” Mykhailuk, Kansas, 18/1
  • Carson Edwards, Purdue, 20/1
  • Wendell Carter Jr., Duke, 20/1
  • Jevon Carter, West Virginia, 22/1
  • Donte Ingram, Loyola Chicago, 100/1

Duke and Villanova are currently the favorites in Vegas to win the National Title.  Kentucky, Kansas and Gonzaga round out the top five with 7-to-1 odds to cut down the nets.

Because whoever wins will come from the championship team and they don’t believe we will win. My guess is that they believe for us to win Knox will have to go crazy like he did the first game. I agree though that he is a steal at 18/1

Knox has had some really good games for us this year, but anyone who gives him better odds than Shai hasn’t watched UK play this month.
