Well, nobody in the SEC shoots better from behind the arc. To put it plainly, Kentucky’s Kryptonite is Arkansas’ strength.
In UK’s four losses, its opponents have shot 46.1% from three. Arkansas shoots an SEC-leading 44.7% behind the three-point line. Four of their top five scorers shoot the three no worse than 45%. The only one that doesn’t is their post, Moses Kingsley.
But wait, it gets worse.
After struggling at the beginning of the season, they’ve recently hit a hot streak, winning three in a row before falling by two points at LSU. During that four-game stretch, they’ve shot 52.8% behind the three-point line, including a 16-24 performance at home against Mississippi State.
Expect to see plenty of threes flying through the nets tonight. Personally, I’d rather watch Arkansas shoot layups than hit uncontested threes, especially in the rowdy Bud Walton Arena. Cal pleaded with them last week to let them shoot anything but a three. Hopefully they’ll listen to Cal this time around.
