No. 1 prospect Jalen Duren schedules official visit to Kentucky

Kentucky will get its shot with the No. 1 prospect in high school basketball.

2022 five-star forward Jalen Duren tells KSR he will be taking an official visit to Kentucky the final week of June, one of three trips he has scheduled. The 6-foot-10 superstar big man will also take official visits to Miami (FL) and Memphis.

Duren cut his list down to 11 back in April, with Kentucky joining the likes of Villanova, Michigan, Miami (FL), Auburn, Alabama, UCLA, Penn State, and Memphis among college programs. He also listed the G League and National Basketball League (NBL) as potential options.

The five-star forward is one of nine players in the class of 2022 holding an offer from Kentucky, joining Emoni Bates, Chris Livingston, Dior Johnson, Keyonte George, Brandon Miller, Jaden Bradley, Shaedon Sharpe and Skyy Clark, with Clark being UK’s lone commitment at this time.

Can Kentucky land a commitment from the nation’s No. 1 prospect? They’ll have him on campus in the coming weeks in an effort to make that happen.

Watch him work:

Come on down.

Is there really any chance he comes here though Jack? Let alone any real choice he plays college ball at all? If he does go the college route, are we the favorites?

I feel like a lot of it will depend on the Name and Likeness rules. If kids can make G league level money while at UK then I’d say college would be the better route

Thank you. The kid may be very good but he seems like a very selfish player at times and doesn’t seem like he wants to play D at all.

NIL rule – these dudes will make a fortune at UK
I see a lot of jersey sales going next year. If UK can sell legit jerseys with name on the back Rupp arena would be full of them

The tweet say Memphis. The article says Michigan.
I think he’s game for a year of college life if he can be wowed on campus. My guess is, if he chooses college life, it’ll be either UK or Michigan. Maybe UCLA if they can get him on campus.

Kind of reminds me of Bam at that age but alittle bigger. Just too big for the guys he is going up against.

Glad I didn’t stop watching after the first 36 seconds. Kid looks good. But the first 36 secs is about as bad of a highlight reel as I’ve ever seen.

Hope he picks Cats. After the flops of Boston and Clarke, not looking at anyone as special until they show it in college.

NIL still can’t compete with the money from the G-League. This kid will never take the floor in college basketball.

Would be shocked if this young man went to college. He has too much of a pro body and game to not get paid. If I were a betting man, the G-League or overseas for one year would be a fairly safe bet…

This post was held in the awaiting moderation tank…. obviously a thorny, difficult decision by KSR (Pravda) to release it b/c it contains dangerous language and ideas…

BTW that squad he’s playing with in the mixtape looks like it could compete in several D-1 conferences…

Only put that second statement b/c, no surprise, the first above was censored! Again, what could they possible see in that first post that would cause censorship… maddening!

Wow… looks like every post I make goes immediately to censorship— if the above post gets released, you too, will see how asinine this has become. I guess KSR (Pravda) has joined Big Tech as a subsidiary in censoring posts from those they deem “dangerous” or in need of “reprogramming”— this is exactly how totalitarian regimes work through the media— censorship. Congrats comrade, KSR!!

I honestly can’t tell if he’s incredibly slow but so big that other players just don’t affect him, or if he’s going half speed because… other players just don’t affect him.
