NCAA will Release an Early Look at the NCAA Tournament Bracket

Selection Sunday might not have quite as much drama as it used to, via ESPN.

Selection Sunday might not have quite as much drama as it used to, via ESPN.

For the first time, the NCAA Selection Committee will let fans see the NCAA Tournament bracket during the season.  On Saturday February 11 at 12:30 on CBS, the Selection Committee will reveal the nation’s Top 16 teams, providing the top four seeds for each region.

The men’s game is following the move made this season by the women’s selection committee.  The top 16 will have no bearing on the final bracket, but will provide some transparency before Selection Sunday, allowing teams see where they stand with a month left in the regular season.

Joey Brackets’ job is in trouble.

Soooooo, you’re saying Duke will be at least a 4 seed?!?!?!

This is awesome. No more getting shafted at the last minute. They’ll have a month to think about where each team should be instead of just having a list and trying to jam them into a bracket in a weekend.

Sounds like good news! Hopefully the SEC Tournament will matter, too. Last year’s committee treated our team so disgracefully. Oh, what might have been!

It’s the 2009-2010 team because that’s John Wall on the far right. (He and Hood are the only faces I can see.) Cal looks a lot younger too. But Brad looks like a baby, which made me laugh a little. 🙂

It seems that everything Cal advocates eventually happens. From the NCAA paying for families to fly to NCAA tournament games, to the players getting unlimited meals. He has pushed for more incentives for the athletes and has spoke about transparency in the selection process for years! He may catch a lot of slack outside the BBN, but the man gets it done on and off the court. John Calipari for President, hopefully not until 2028 at least!

Given the current state of things, we won’t be around in 2028.

At my first quick glance I thought Cal had some really long black arms….

Just more evidence of how the SEC Championship game doesn’t matter to the selection committee at all unless someone steals an automatic qualifier.

That’s because the SEC is a joke and the A10 and the AAC is better and will have more teams in the dance 😉lol

These 5 sentence long ksr ‘articles’ never fail to amuse me. How about a Real article about how over rated ky is this year and how Cal has another group of guys that don’t listen to him, and it especially shows when they play real teams…and Tenn too of course LOL
