Birthday brownies are in order: one of the newest members of the Kentucky basketball team, Nate Sestina, is celebrating his 22nd birthday today!

Sestina joins next year’s team after a career at Bucknell. Last season, he averaged 15.8 points and nearly 9 rebounds a game while also adding a smooth stroke from beyond-the-arc.
The grad transfer will look to fill a leadership void that will be left with the graduation of Reid Travis. On Twitter, he said that he will be on campus by June 2nd to begin preparing for a run for Kentucky’s 9th National Championship title.
Thank you! June 2nd can’t come soon enough ? https://t.co/i1WEXXZhZu

In case you weren’t already excited for next season, you can watch Sestina work in last season’s Diamond Head Classic below.
Bogans, Greevey and Green also celebrate birthdays
The Pennsylvania native isn’t the only member of the Kentucky family to be celebrating a birthday today, as he joins Keith Bogans, Kevin Grevey and Quade Green.
Bogans, one of the top players from the Tubby Smith era, turns 39. During his four year career, he averaged 14.2 points and over 4 rebounds game. He was named a third-team All-American his senior season and had multiple All-SEC awards.
Another All-American, Kevin Grevey, is 66 today. The Hamilton, Ohio native averaged over 21 points a game during his three years in the Bluegrass State. His No. 35 jersey currently sits in the rafters of Rupp Arena.
Also celebrating his birthday is former Cat Quade Green. While he transferred during the middle of this past season, Green fits the mold of “once a Cat, always a Cat.” This season, Green’s playing time took a massive cut after Ashton Hagans became the starting point guard for the team. He’ll suit up for the Washington Huskies next season.
