MUST-READ: Washington Post on “One of the fiercest, most intense games of this college basketball season”

Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post was on hand for what he described as “one of the fiercest, most intense games of this college basketball season.” It was a game between two of the best teams in the country: Kentucky’s blue platoon and Kentucky’s white platoon. It was played in a UK basketball practice in the Joe Craft Center late last month.
Kilgore writes:
The teams played in a gym with a handful of spectators, no stands, no scouts and no television crew. Nine of the players on the court had made the McDonald’s All-America team in high school. All 10 will likely play in the NBA. It could have been a spectacle. Here, they call it practice. Did you gawk at Duke-Wisconsin? You should have seen Kentucky vs. Kentucky.
That’s only the first paragraph of a very long and well-written piece on your favorite basketball team.
Check it out here. You won’t regret it.
