More details on Calipari’s new podcast

This morning, John Calipari announced he’s starting a new podcast, which will debut this week. Turns out Calipari taped his first episode of the podcast today while in New York, and teased a few more details during his appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show.” While Calipari didn’t reveal his first guest (it’s not LeBron James or Drake as Matt said on today’s show, although they may be future guests), but said wants to interview his wife, Ellen, “Papa John,” aka John Schnatter, and Fred Smith, the founder, chairman, president, and CEO of FedEx. Not too shabby.
Calipari says Blue Apron will be one of his sponsors, and he’s planning on doing an ad for it with Ellen.
“Blue Apron is part of this, so I’m going to say, what did you cook for dinner? What is it? How long did it take you?”
Does that mean Cal will cook too? No.
“Somebody said Blue Apron is great because you can do it with your wife. No, I’m not going to do it with my wife. Just let me know what I’m eating. I’m not going to be chopping onions, sorry. Not happening. So, I’m going to have her jump on and say, what did you make from Blue Apron today?”
Check out the rest of Calipari’s interview on “The Dan Patrick Show” below. It’s pretty entertaining:

Speaking of sponsors.. kinda time for Orange Leaf to step up don’t ya think?
😉
And Dunkin Donuts.
Wow, so I can quote Cal as saying “Cooking is women’s work!!!”??? Next thing you know he’ll be telling Tyler to make him a sammich!
I kid, I kid.
Cal is the best. Period. He knows what it takes to run this program. He will have his misses (i.e. not playing Ulis and Booker more against Wisconsin). But all in all he has made UK basketball relevant and fun to watch. Playing meaningful games come tourney time. That’s really all a fan base can realistically ask.
Agree…except Booker was getting his lunch handed to him during the Wisconsin game.
