More Billy Donovan to the NBA rumors!

When Billy Donovan brought Anthony Grant back to Gainesville, the fifteen Gators basketball fans sighed with relief; despite all the NBA rumors, it looked like Billy was in Gainesville for good.

Well, maybe not. According to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Oklahoma City Thunder will evaluate head coach Scott Brooks, and if they decide to part ways, a source says Billy Donovan will be the leading candidate. Donovan is close friends with Thunder general manager Sam Presti, who is reportedly very unhappy after his team missed the playoffs for the first time in six years.

Jeremy Foley: Hey Billy, did you see the SEC has added Rick Barnes, Ben Howland, and Avery Johnson? With Bruce Pearl on the rise and John Calipari dominating, the SEC will be so much better.

    Billy Donovan: I’m outta here.

The Thunder GM would be stupid to fire Brooks after all the injuries this year. They weren’t coming out of the first round anyway at an 8 seed.

billy would be an idiot to take that OKC job without KD locked up in a long term deal. With all the speculation of KD leaving and going to D.C, Billy would be a fool to take that.
