Monk named AP SEC Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year

It’s 2:45 p.m. and I’ve got two more Malik Monk awards to share. The Associated Press just named Monk their SEC Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. Monk beat out Sindarius Thornwell (who won the league’s Player of the Year honor) for the POY award and was the overwhelming choice for Newcomer of the Year. De’Aaron Fox were named to the AP All-SEC First Team, while Bam made the Second Team. Florida’s Mike White was named SEC Coach of the Year.
