Missed BBM last night? Watch the scrimmage highlights here

Kentucky opened up basketball season with a bang last night for Big Blue Madness, where we witnessed a massive family reunion, some dancing, and a little bit of scrimmaging to cap the night off.

If you weren’t able to attend or see it on TV, or just need your Saturday morning fix of Kentucky basketball, here are a few highlights, courtesy of KSTV:

Post-scrimmage thoughts:

Briscoe is still absolutely ridiculous at finishing at the rim.

Bam Adebayo is a scary human, and that windmill dunk was disgusting.

De’Aaron Fox gets to the rim with ease, as fast as advertised.

Malik Monk will have a few 30+ point games this year, will probably end up on #SCTop10 more times than not.

Wenyen Gabriel is still raw, but he’s going to be really good by the end of the year.

We won’t have to yell “SHOOOOOOT” every time Brad Calipari touches the ball like the usual walk-ons, he knows he always has the green light to let it fly, and certainly does.

Your next opportunity to watch the 2016-17 squad in action comes next Friday in the annual Blue-White scrimmage at 7 PM.

Tickets are still available here.

    A couple thoughts from Madness:

    1. It was long overdue, but the tech upgrades at Rupp are beautiful. Along with a lot of new blue paint our arena is finally close to the GOLD STANDARD that we deserve.

    2. Michael Buffer was a cool touch.

    3. Bam is a man-child. My wife says there is no way he is 19 years old.

    4. I am extremely excited about the entire freshman class, even Brad.

    5. Brad and Michael Mulder are not afraid to fire that thing up there.

    6. Derek still can’t create his own shot.

    7. Isaiah can still get to the rack and looks like he is ready to lead this team.

Overall, once again John Calipari has the BBN fired up again for another special run!
