Minnesota will pick first in the NBA Draft

Screen Shot 2015-05-19 at 8.53.53 PM

Karl-Anthony Towns’ dreams of playing for the New York Knicks took a serious hit tonight when Minnesota was awarded the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft. New York fell all the way to No. 4 after entering the drawing with the second-best odds.

The Lakers moved up to No. 2, so it’ll either be Minnesota or Los Angeles for Towns.

Here’s a look at the order:

1. Minnesota Timberwolves
2. Los Angeles Lakers
3. Philadelphia 76ers
4. New York Knicks
5. Orlando Magic
6. Sacramento Kings
7. Denver Nuggets
8. Detroit Pistons
9. Charlotte Hornets
10. Miami Heat
11. Indiana Pacers
12. Utah Jazz
13. Phoenix Suns
14. Oklahoma City Thunder

I’m legit pissed off.

There’s a legitimate chance Minny takes Okafor and we get a Towns/Randle frontcourt in LA … not terrible

He could always threaten to go play baseball like Elway and Bo Jackson.

Timberwolves will pick Okafor they need fire power plus they have defensive front court guys already.

Not saying it would happen, but if Minnesota takes Okafor, I wouldn’t be shocked if LA took Russell. The 76ers have Embiid and Noel and may take a player like Mudiay. I think Towns should go first, but if he doesn’t it may work out better for him.

There is an outside chance that KAT could still fall to the Knicks as Lakers and 76ers both need guards more so than big men, but who knows they may take him because he is the best available.
