Michael Porter Jr. will play in the SEC Tournament

Here’s something most of us felt coming: Michael Porter Jr. will play in the SEC Tournament.

Paul Finebaum was the first to report the Missouri star will play tomorrow in the Tigers’ game vs. the winner of Georgia/Vanderbilt. Missouri head coach Cuonzo Martin said Porter won’t start, but he will play, a decision that was all his own.

Porter played only two minutes in Missouri’s season opener before coming out due to back pain. He spent most of the season recovering from back surgery and was cleared to practice a few weeks back. The winner of Missouri’s game tomorrow will take on Kentucky Friday afternoon.

See you on Friday, Mike?

Really bold prediction: we lose 1st game in SEC tournament. 8 seed in tournament out in first game. We already stink and without Vanderbilt and Richards getting more PT this team is hopeless.

We a least make it to the sweet 16 ever if we don’t have Vanderbilt

We saw how long it took for Jarred to get into game shape. It will be difficult for Porter Jr. to contribute any significant minutes due to his lack of game conditioning.
