Mark Fox opened his postgame press conference by saying Kentucky whooped his Georgia Bulldogs. The two teams, tied for second place in the SEC entering the game, didn’t play the conference battle he expected. It was all Kentucky, all afternoon.
Afterward, Jerry Tipton asked Mark Fox what he thought about 23,000-plus fans showing up to Rupp Arena in the middle of a blizzard early Saturday afternoon, and Fox wasn’t up for gushing over Big Blue Nation.
“What, you want me to comment on the fan base? They don’t need any more pats on the back.”

Fox really wanted to say “I don’t understand why Kentucky has all the blue hairs down in the lower levels, they need to put students down there , hand out cheer sheets, make everyone wear the same color t-shirts and play techno music non-stop Then UK would be 82-0, not 80-2”

Jerry Tipton writes his stories before hand and fishes for comments to support his points… Its SUPPOSED to be the other way around. That’s why he is always asking obvious and dumb questions.
Congrats to Coach Cal, each player, and assistant coaches for the win. The question should not of been asked but the answer was clearly disrespectful. UK fans, and I am one of them for six decades now, should be acknowledged and respected…even when a dumb question is asked. Nuff said.
