At this rate, it’s getting hard to keep up with all of Malik Monk’s honors. A few minutes ago, he was named one of five finalists for the Jerry West Award, given annually to the best shooting guard in college basketball. His competition includes Marcus Foster (Creighton), Luke Kennard (Duke), Peter Jok (Iowa) and Bryce Alford (UCLA).

The award, now in its third season, will be presented at the ESPN College Basketball Awards Show in Los Angeles on April 7 and is determined by a combination of fan votes and input from the Basketball Hall of Fame’s selection committee. You can vote for Monk at HoophallAwards.com March 10-24. (Don’t worry, we’ll remind you.)

A rundown of Monk’s awards so far:

  • SEC Freshman of the Year
  • All-SEC First Team
  • All-SEC Freshman Team
  • Sporting News All-America Second Team
  • USA Today All-America Second Team
  • NBC Sports All-America Second Team
  • USBWA District IV Player of the Year
  • USBWA All-District IV Team
  • Jerry West Award Finalist
  • Wooden Award Finalist

What will Malik win next??
