Malik Monk named to Jerry West Award watch list


Malik Monk is one of 20 preseason honorees in the mix for the Jerry West Award, given to the best shooting guard in college basketball each year, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced Tuesday.
The list will be cut in half in February, then down to five in March. A winner will be announced at the ESPN College Basketball Awards Show in April.
