Malik Monk gave the best answer on how other players should guard him

After scoring 47 points vs. North Carolina, Malik Monk was a popular guy at today’s media opportunity. When asked by a reporter how he would guard himself, Monk gave the perfect answer.

“Foul,” Monk quipped to much laughter.

Malik was asked how much room he needs to shoot, and as he showed us time and time again on Saturday, it’s not much.

“Like an inch. Just enough room to get a shot up.”

Monk said after the game, Roy Williams came over to congratulate him and the two shared a nice moment.

“He recruited me hard. He told my family he loves us and stuff like that. He said he really didn’t want to shake my hand because of what I just did. He said ‘tell my family he loves me’ and stuff like that.”

Ha, ole Roy. For those of you worried Malik will get a big head after this, don’t.

“It’s been crazy. I’m just trying to stay levelheaded and stay focused on Louisville.”

Ans: Box and chaser. Box him in with 4 players, and chase the rest of the Cats with the other defender.
