DeMarcus Cousins and Loyalty is Love made it out of the Lexington regional, but fell short of the $2 million grand prize at The Basketball Tournament in Chicago.
Loyalty is Love lost to Overseas Elite (the four-time TBT defending champions) by an Elam Ending score of 86-73 thanks to a game-ending three-pointer from Jeremy Pargo.

That’s now 29 straight wins for Overseas Elite.
Cousins is the general manager of Loyalty is Love and handpicked his roster, which was comprised of former college stars such as Isaiah Austin, Quincy Miller, and Darius Johnson-Odom along with some familiar names such as Daniel Orton and a late-addition of former Tennessee guard Scotty Hopson.
Orton played 10 minutes and finished with two points and two rebounds while Hopson posted 11 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Loyalty is Love was led by 13 points off the bench from former Baylor guard Pierre Jackson.
Overseas Elite will now advance to the semifinals against Carmen’s Crew (a team filled with former Ohio State players) on Saturday. The Finals and winner of $2 million will be awarded on Sunday. All games will be broadcast on ESPN.
