LOOK: Leah Edmond and Jay Bilas take another jab at Nick Richards

When Nick Richards recently stepped into the spotlight, his girlfriend was there to bust his chops.

Ahead of Kentucky’s road trip to Georgia, ESPN recorded a segment of “94 Feet with Jay Bilas” featuring Mr. Richards. Before the interview Leah Edmond, the star UK volleyball player and Richards’ better half, tipped-off Bilas.

Bilas asked Richards if he ever has to dust off Edmond’s trophies. The UK center smiled, then denied it.

To prove her point, Edmond brought Richards’ feather duster to the game.

Shout out to Big Nick for being a good sport. It helps that Richards is killing it on the court. Over the last four games he’s averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds per game. Not too shabby.

If you would have made that statement 4 weeks ago you would have been laughed at.

It’s coming. They won’t be able to overlook him if he’ll just keep playing at this level!! Now if he’ll step it up just one more notch, like I know he can, he’ll get closer to the top ten than just getting in the first round. Leah has been great for Nick and sometimes that’s all it takes.

Nick and Leah are perhaps my favorite couple in UK history. I hope they find eternal happiness together, and that someday they have kids who are freakishly tall and athletic who become studs for UK basketball and UK volleyball. 🙂
