Kentucky basketball’s annual Pro Day was a massive success, with over 80 NBA personnel tuning in to scout the 2020-21 Wildcats virtually, along with the entire Big Blue Nation having the opportunity to see the team for the first time leading up to the season.

As part of the Pro Day, each player on the Kentucky roster goes through testing to find out their specific updated measurements, which are then distributed to NBA representatives, scouts, and the media.

So how did the Wildcats do? What were some of the noteworthy numbers and measurements?

ESPN’s Jonathan Givony released a rundown of the measurements and compared the results to other notable NBA players, along with some other agility test results.

Among the highlights:

  • BJ Boston (6’6.75″, 185 pounds) draws close physical comparisons to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Caris LeVert and Jeremy Lamb
    • Has added three inches in the last three years
  • Terrence Clarke (6’6.75″, 194 pounds) draws physical comparisons to Andrew Wiggins and Bogdan Bogdanovic
    • 37.5 inch maximum vertical leap and UK’s second-fastest lane agility time
  • Isaiah Jackson (6’10.50″ in shoes) has grown two inches and has gained over 20 pounds since summer of 2019
    • Similar measurables to Nerlens Noel
    • 37.5 maximum vertical leap
    • Team-best 10.85 second lane agility and 3.21 three-quarter sprint time
      • “Historically good quickness for a big man on paper.”
  • Devin Askew measured “as expected,” but managed a pro-day-record shuttle time of 2.61 seconds, just ahead of Devin Booker’s time in 2014
    • Measures similarly to CJ McCollum and Jrue Holiday
  • Boston, Clarke, Jackson and Askew lifted the 185-pound bar just three times combined
    • Olivier Sarr and Davion Mintz recorded 12 and 14 reps, respectively
  • Sarr posted a 36-inch max vertical
  • Jacob Toppin led the team with a 42.5 inch max vertical to lead the team
  • Cam’Ron Fletcher recorded a 40-inch vertical

    Mintz is a bulldog. 14 reps at 185 is damn strong for a hoopster.

      Allen has long arms for his height, too! Like the way he fills it up from downtown. Hope he’s getting the bug defensively

    Askew outweighs people 5 inches taller? Huge difference between a 21 year old and 18 year old in terms of strength. And then another huge difference between a 27 year old and 21 year old. Teenagers feel invincible but they aren’t.

    OMG Our3 freshman are the strongest of all freshman in the NCAA so far great job to Cal and his srength and condtioning . 185 lbs 3x each thats alot of freaking weight . They are beast .
