LOOK: Kentucky Basketball to wear Nike Adapt Self-Lacing Shoes

Remember the Nike self-tying shoes De’Aaron Fox helped debut last month? Based on this video from the Kentucky Basketball Twitter account, it looks like the Wildcats will get to wear the Nike Adapt BBs tonight vs. South Carolina:

How do the shoes work? The laces tighten via an app on your phone or two buttons on the side.

Want some? They aren’t available to the public until February 17, but you can preorder them for $350 on Nike’s website. Or, somehow transform into a Kentucky Basketball player before then.

You can see the shoes in one of the many videos of the team dancing in the locker room that made their way to social media today. Here’s one from Jonny David:

It’s Gameday!!

Wonder if opposing fans can hack their shoes and make them unlace while they’re playing, ha ha.

I’m not normally a big shoe guy, but these look pretty dope.

Me either banana. I’ve got a few pair and a
Couple pair of work boots, but I’ve never looked to buy $300 shoes and I probably never will unless I just hit a big lottery win or something. Haha. I do agree with you though! Those are nice and I could definitely see myself wearing them out running around or something. I would even like to have some that didn’t have the self laces. They look really good for my taste. Actually to me they look as good as any I’ve seen in awhile.

Not sure what weird flex means? Unless u thought I was trying to be a smartazz. My wife thinks she can determine emotion by reading emails and texts.
