University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Listen to Rodrick Rhodes talk about his time at UK and living in Eastern Kentucky

A.) I want that signed photo.

B.) Rodrick Rhodes was a surprise guest on Kentucky Sports Radio radio this morning, after a Rodrick Rhodes imposter tried to fool the guys last week. The former Wildcat called in to Tuesday’s show to tell KSR how he ended up in Knott County from Jersey City and what it was like playing under Rick Pitino at Kentucky in the early 90s.

Rhodes joked that he was hoping he’d get an honorary ’96 championship ring after transferring the season before and it was crushing to see them win without him. He also said the ’93 Cats team was the best group he’s ever been a part of. He’s a big fan of the people of Eastern Kentucky, too.

Hear it all for yourself below:

Omg, Drew. How could you put a picture up of a former UK player who didn’t even finish his career with UK? That is NOT related to UK sports closely enough. What’s with you and Matt lately? This is pathetic. You all NEVER would have done something like this in the old days. You’ve forgotten where you came from.

I usually have a pretty decent sarcasm detector, and most of me wants to believe this is sarcasm. Please tell me this is sarcasm…..

Yes, this is sarcasm. I love what Drew and Matt do. I’m just sick of looking at the comment section and seeing everyone bashing them.

Good interview. Best of luck to Rod.

Is he still bringing in a bunch of transfers to Cordia each year? I remember hoopla about that a couple years ago.

I took a call right during the story where Matt was talking about the lawsuit against KSR. I can’t seem to find it in the podcasts. Was it removed?

Easily my favorite wildcat of all time. I was in middle school/ high school during his 3 years. I remember standing outside Wildcat lodge during a BBM campout to have him sign a jersey for me. I was super star struck when I met him.

He was in my 8am ECON 101 class when we were at UK. I just remember him sitting in the back of class with a huge UK sock cap on every class. But he was usually always there at 8am and I thought that was pretty cool considering their crazy schedules.
