The Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls are out for Week 5 of college basketball and your University of Kentucky Wildcats are once again the top team in the land.

Kentucky became the unanimous No. 1 team in the AP poll, receiving all 64 first place votes for the first time this season.

Duke and Arizona each took one of the 32 coaches votes, leaving the Cats with 30 in the USA Today poll.

North Carolina will come into Rupp Arena on Saturday at No. 21/18.

Frank Vogel, Indiana Pacers head coach, used to be a student manager for Rick Pitino and Kentucky Basketball. My brother n law knows Frank and back in the day he let us into Memorial when the team was on the road.

On Rick’s desk was a piece of paper with his vote for the top 25. He had Kentucky #1

Since Goodman doesn’t get to vote in the Coaches poll, I’m having a rough time figuring out who could honestly say that they believe Arizona is a better team than UK or Duke.

So, what you are telling us is that one of the coaches in that poll switched his number one vote from Wisconsin to Duke, which did not have any number 1 votes last week. So, who’s the dirtbag coach unwilling to give UK his number one vote?

My guess is Jim Boeheim. He’s the coach that gets the ACC vote.
