They were supposed to play each other back in December, so at least one of the would have a loss in a normal season

Why does everyone act like they have caught Cal in a lie when he says he hasn’t seen some video or whatever? It’s clearly just his way of saying “I don’t really care about this, so quit talking to me about it.” It’s his way of saying “no comment” except that he can’t just not comment about something.
I mean, he’s not lying that his job keeps him busy, and somewhat credible that he doesn’t care all that much.
I don’t even believe for a second that he hadn’t seen it, I just don’t think it’s wrong for him to brush it off. Chris Mack was doing all the talking when it came out, so no need for further comment, imho.

Yeah, that Weezer version is the worst. The original by Toto is fine, but then Weezer tried to do it exactly the same and it sucked.
I don’t know him personally, but the video makes him out to be a bit of a smart ass, but not necessarily in a bad sort of way. You have to take the context of it that it was a playful trash talk video for KP, and wasn’t meant to be seen by Cal or the fans. Mack might be a jerk based on the evidence that RG laid out, but I personally don’t know that for a fact. I met him once, and he seemed nice enough at that time.

Mack has a Rex-like arrogant way of carrying himself. Seems like he’d be a jerk, but not on a Pitino / Jurich level.
Rex has this insatiable need for attention and worship by fans. If you ever see him out in public, there is this “hey, everybody look at me” thing going on. I don’t really get that with Mack. He seems a lot more humble to me.

I renewed my football season tix the day the email came out. Surprised to see the price come down a little. I took a full refund for last year, so I don’t have the residual balance this caller is talking about. Now, let’s just hope we can have a normal season.
That first game back is going to be so life affirming.
I’m a huge fan of going to the football games, but I had zero desire to jump through all the Covid hoops and have it not be like the normal fan experience.
“We have to play this season, I have a great team, only Covid can stop this team”. Cal was talking about the UK football team.
I guess I shouldn’t give Matt such a hard time for wrongly predicting how seasons will go, if THAT is what CAL thought about this group.
It’s weird that Cal hyped this unproven team so much in the preseason. I guess KSR took that as the green light to go ahead and get excited. I think I’m now immune to the hype going forward.

I can’t claim that just yet. I got laughed at just the other day by my wife and kids because I said before the season that this team could definitely win the title. And my reasoning was that Cal never hypes his team up like he was doing at the time. lol
