KSR makes an appearance in Vice Sports’ profile of Karl Towns

Considering that today’s the biggest day of Karl Towns’ life and he called into KSR twice, sharing this video seems so fitting. Remember when the Vice Sports crew came by the Lexington studios to film Karl coming on the show? If you do, you’ll also remember that they came at the very end of the show and Matt and Karl had to pretend they were on the air afterwards.

We finally have the clip. Check out Matt and Karl in the WLAP studios, along with some other amazing behind-the-scenes footage of Karl’s journey to the draft. I love the part where Karl’s mom takes the crew on a tour of Karl’s old room, the walls of which are covered in inspirational quotes Karl put up over the years:

I’ll preface this by saying that iIve never met Karl and don’t know him personally.

This dude seems to be they nicest, most caring kid that we’ve ever had come through here. I don’t have children, but if I am blessed enough to have a son one day, I hope that he shares similar values as KAT. This kid gets it. He works his butt off, says nothing but nice things to/about people, and is incredibly humble.

I know I speak for 99.9% of the bbn when I say that we are wishing you nothing but the absolute best. Don’t change who you are and always remember where you came from. Go Karl & Go Cats!

Wow, he is such a great kid. You can’t help but tear up at that acceptance speech. I am proud he will be a Wildcat forever. Good luck, tonight, Karl. You’ve worked hard and you certainly deserve it.
