Two Kentucky Wildcats are among the 25 prospects on 247Sports’ new NBA Draft 2018: Big Board 2.0, written by Evan Daniels and released to the internet Tuesday afternoon.
Kevin Knox is ranked highest on the board, coming in just outside the top 10 at No. 11. Knox is the third small forward off the board, behind the injured Michael Porter Jr. and Villanova junior Mikal Bridges.
No. 11 | Kevin Knox | Kentucky | Small Forward
Knox’s showing against West Virginia was what we’d been waiting for. The former five-star pumped in 34 points and made five of eight three-pointers in an incredible comeback for the Wildcats. We’ve been waiting for him to pick things up and you can see his confidence is rising. At 6-foot-9, Knox has a 7-0 wingspan and a 36.5 maximum versatility. There’s versatility as a combo forward and I think he’s going to be a very good shooter in time. The next step is improving his ball handling.
247Sports Composite Ranking: 11
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander — not Hamidou Diallo — is the only other Wildcat to make the big board. He is ranked at No. 20 as Daniels’ gamble pick:
No. 20 | Shai Gilgeous-Alexander | Kentucky | Point Guard
This could possibly be too high, but if I’m going to gamble on a player, I want it to be someone with impressive physical upside and improving skill. Both of those fit Gilgeous-Alexander. He checks in at 6-foot-6 with a 7-foot wingspan and a 36-inch vertical. Gilgeous-Alexander is a two-way player. He’s a tremendous passer with very good vision, but he’s also a lockdown defender and has the potential to defend multiple spots at the next level.

No other Wildcat earned a mention on the list of 25 NBA hopefuls.
