I love Tyler Ulis. You love Tyler Ulis. We all love Tyler Ulis. Vanderbilt head coach Kevin Stallings really loves Tyler Ulis. Stallings raved about Ulis to reporters yesterday, praising just about every facet of his game.
“He’s great,” Stallings said of Ulis. “There are no weaknesses in his game. He’s a great defender. He has a great basketball mentality and IQ. He has a great skill level. He has a great heart in terms of his desire to win and desire to compete. He’s a stud. That guy’s terrific.”
Back on February 15, Stalling said Ulis should be “perhaps at the very top” of the SEC Player of the Year rankings.
“You’d be hard pressed to find anybody’s who’s been any more impactful for their team,” Stallings said. “He makes very, very few mistakes and he controls the game in a way very few guys can control it. He can control it offensively, he can control it defensively, and he’s just a guy that plays the game exactly how it should be played and rarely, if ever, deviates from that, and that’s just a rare commodity to have in your point guard.”
This is one instance in which Kevin Stallings and I agree.
