The wait is almost over, Big Blue Nation.
After one report came out yesterday that Kentucky was in a “great spot” with Virginia Tech graduate transfer Kerry Blackshear Jr., Evan Daniels of 247Sports is now reporting that a decision is “extremely close.”
With no more visits on the table, the national recruiting insider says the announcement could come as early as Sunday.
Sources: Kerry Blackshear, the best available transfer, isn’t expected to take any more official visits. The growing thought is he’s extremely close to announcing his decision, which could come as early as Sunday.

On Friday, Corey Evans of Rivals.com told the Herald-Leader that he felt it was down to two schools for the top available grad transfer: Kentucky and Tennessee.
“I think Kentucky is in a great spot with him,” Evans said. “Right now, it’s Kentucky or Tennessee for him.”
Blackshear, who is coming off his official visit to Kentucky earlier this week, averaged 14.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as a junior this past season. The Second-Team All-ACC selection also led the Hokies with 28 total blocked shots and ranked third on the team with 83 assists overall.
