Kentucky has found its opponent for the 2021 Big 12/SEC Challenge.
UK will host Shaka Smart and the Texas Longhorns at Rupp Arena, the University of Kentucky announced Wednesday morning.

UK last played Texas in the Big 12/SEC Challenge back on Dec. 6, 2014 when the No. 1 Wildcats beat the No. 6 Longhorns by a final score of 63-51.
In the win, Willie Cauley-Stein led the Wildcats with 21 points, 12 rebounds, five steals and three blocks. Dakari Johnson also finished with 11 points while Karl-Anthony Towns added ten points.
Kentucky has only played Texas one other time in school history, with the other coming in an 86-61 victory during the 1993-94 season.
With this matchup, new UK recruiting coordinator Jai Lucas will face off against his former team, while the Wildcats will take on 2020 five-star forward and former top Kentucky recruiting target Greg Brown III.

- Lexington pod (scheduled for Nov. 25, 27, and 29)

- Champions Classic (scheduled for Dec. 1)
