Kentucky-West Virginia: Numbers You Need to Know

1 — Times Bob Huggins has defeated Kentucky.

7 — The KenPom ranking of West Virginia’s defense.  UK’s defense is not far behind at 25. In KenPom’s overall ratings, the Mountaineers are tenth and Kentucky is No. 32.

8.9 — Combined turnovers per game by UK’s primary ball-handlers: SGA, Green, Diallo and Knox.

18.5 –Percent chance ESPN’s BPI gives Kentucky to win.

19.1 — Average turnovers Press Virginia forces in a game, fourth-most in the NCAA.  Their turnover margin of 7 is the second-best in the NCAA.

27.9 — The three-point shooting percentage by UK opponents this season, the third-best in the nation.  West Virginia makes just 33 percent of their three-point attempts, even though 40 percent of their shot attempts are from long range.
