I would say that for his time in the game Matthews showed up well. Just didn’t get many minutes.

Losses to Kansas at UTM in OT, away are more painful but at least I feel like our team is good afterwards. We just don’t look good, at all, on games like today.
In hindsight (of course) having Murray go off in the first half just disguised the problems inevitable int he second.

I still think this team can be good in March, but games like this give me pause. I know Willis is hurt but they still should of won. Briscoe shooting jumpers is a wasted possession I would say attack and get to the line but him shooting free throws is as painful as watching him shoot jumpers, and Poythress scored 16 against them in Rupp and today scored zero and fouls out how does that happen.
This team drastically needs Willis. It’s clear that he is the only one who will man up and help Ulis and Murray.
Poythress will not be in the league. He’s a smart kid though he’ll figure it out
