Two of Kentucky’s top targets in the class of 2021 made significant jumps in the latest 247Sports player rankings released Wednesday afternoon.

One of the highest-rising prospects in the class? Five-star guard Hunter Sallis, who jumped from No. 25 to No. 6 overall. The 6-foot-4 guard, who received an offer from Kentucky on August 21, is now the No. 2 combo guard in the senior class.

“When it comes to the 5-star range, no one made a bigger jump than did Sallis,” 247Sports recruiting analyst Brian Snow wrote in an article highlighting the prospects who made the biggest jumps in the class. “The native of Nebraska has had a huge rise over the last 12 months, and he took things to an even higher level this summer during some showcase opportunities. Sallis has an impressive combination of size, skill and athleticism, and the scary part is, he doesn’t even seem to realize just how good he is. Once Sallis takes the next step to becoming an alpha on the court, things will go to an ever higher level.”

Kentucky made Sallis’ recent list cut, joining the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Creighton, Gonzaga, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon and UCLA.

From there, five-star forward Daimion Collins also made a significant leap, jumping from No. 29 overall to No. 19. The 6-foot-9, 210-pound forward out of Atlanta, TX received an offer exactly one week ago on August 26.

Following the hiring of former Texas assistant Jai Lucas, who served as Collins’ lead recruiter with the Longhorns, Kentucky is seen as a serious contender to land the five-star forward.

Outside of the high-rising standouts, Kentucky’s lone commitment in the class, four-star point guard Nolan Hickman, held firm at No. 30 overall and is listed as the No. 3 prospect in the nation at his position.

In terms of other recruits with Kentucky offers, five-star forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. remained at No. 2 overall, while five-star guard Jaden Hardy came in at No. 4 overall. Four-star forward Bryce Hopkins, who was previously committed to Louisville and received a Kentucky offer on Aug. 21, is listed at No. 39 overall.
