It was another fun evening of basketball in Rupp Arena as the University of Kentucky wrapped up its two-game exhibition schedule with a convincing win over Kentucky State.
Led by Skal Labissiere’s second half explosion, the Cats cruised past the Thorobreds, 111-58.
Funny thing is, Labissiere had zero points at halftime, before going off for 22 points in the first 11 minutes after the break to lead the game in scoring. One could say he was unstoppable offensively.
Kentucky will take the next week to correct a few flaws and then it’s back to Rupp for the season opener next Friday. Tip-off with those Fightin’ Whatever-They-Ares from Albany is set for 7 pm.
We’ll have plenty more from this one throughout the night…
