Kentucky ranked fifth in new postseason AP poll


The Associated Press has a brand new poll and the Wildcats are up three spots in this week’s edition.

Kentucky is ranked fifth, one spot ahead of North Carolina and three spots above UCLA, the two biggest threats to end the Cats’ season in the South Region of the tournament.

Villanova took the No. 1 spot from Kansas in the postseason rankings.

1. Villanova, 31-3 (59)
2. Gonzaga, 32-1 (6)
3. Kansas, 28-4
4. Arizona, 30-4
5. Kentucky, 29-5
6. North Carolina, 27-7
7. Duke, 27-8
8. UCLA, 29-4
9. Oregon, 29-5
10. Louisville, 24-8

    I’m not on the Selection Committee, but I know for sure that three 2-seeds should not be in the same region.

      Technically only one 2 seed is in each region.

    If the ACC tourny helped Duke, then it should have given UL a 3 seed and UNC out of a 1 seed. They only play that card when it benefits them. Had they been fair and used the ACC tourny to justify seeding the aforementioned would be true.

      Yep, I believe they had it in for North Carolina, Having to play and lose to Ky again just doesn’t seem fair.

    That ad for Atomic Blonde that KSR is forcing me to watch in the margin blows me away. Not because I think it looks like a great movie, but because Charlize Theron is apparently immune to the effects of aging.
