Kentucky opens as a 23.5-point favorite against LSU

Vegas has spoken and despite losing three of the last four, Kentucky is still a 23.5-point favorite over LSU. To say Kentucky’s on a cold streak when it comes to Vegas is an understatement; the Cats are 1-7 against the spread in their last eight games. Regardless, LSU is pretty horrible. Johnny Jones’ squad is 170th in the KenPom and 132nd in the RPI, the latter of which is the second to worst ranking in the SEC behind Missouri. Kentucky may have lost three of the last four games, but the Tigers have lost 11 of their last 12. Yikes.

Speaking of ye olde sports gambling, check out this story about a Michigan man who made $1 million by betting 81-0 against the spread in regular season and playoff games this year. Last night, he picked the Pats to cover their three-point spread vs. the Falcons, and unbelievably, they did.

If LSU keeps playing this poorly, Johnnie Jones might only have 4 or 5 more years to turn that thing around.
