Kentucky NBA Mock Draft Tracker: Final Predictions

With just over seven hours to go until tonight’s NBA Draft, analysts are turning in their final predictions. Both Kevin Knox and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continue to surge, with Shai rising to sixth in Jonathan Givony’s latest mock draft for ESPN.

“Teams are getting mixed signals from the Magic about their intentions here,” he writes. “Some sources around the league say they are picking between guards Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Trae Young and Collin Sexton, while others feel like this will be more of a best-player-available situation, with Bamba and Carter strongly in the mix.”

Meanwhile, the consensus seems to be that Kevin Knox will go ninth to the New York Knicks.

“All signs point to Kevin Knox at No. 9, as it’s becoming widely assumed in NBA circles that he’s the top option for the Knicks given who will be available.”

Sports Illustrated’s Jeremy Woo actually has Shai going ninth to the Knicks and Knox eleventh to the Charlotte Hornets. Here’s where all of Kentucky’s prospects stand in the major mock drafts heading into the final stretch:

Vanderbilt to Houston would be an absolute steal for the Rockets and a great place for Jarrod

I guess you don’t know his story.

Wenyen has come out and said this was not a money decision. Two of his siblings have college degrees and he felt he just needed to go ahead and make the jump. His family is not poor and destitute.

    • If you don’t need the money then why not wait and see if your stock can rise? Maybe he doesn’t like school, but if 1 more year helps. But, it’s his decision and I wish him well.

Anyway, I thought we’ve read here before that he was the first to go to college in his family. No? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

No CG you are correct, I’m not sure where Meade is getting his info. Must be a well kept secret. I’m sure it is not about the money but it is reportedly to help his family and I have read nowhere that his siblings have degrees.

Looks like KSR’s own Zack Geoghegan is the only one that thinks Knox isnt a lottery pick
