Yawn.
UNC is a funny team this year–definitely hard to rank. I guess 19 is appropriate? Honestly that seems low, but then again you can’t just discount their losses to UAB and Belmont. The Texas loss is legitimate as that’s probably a ranked team this year. Seems like they should be a little higher though. And Florida, too. They’re a buzzer beater away from being a one-loss borderline top 5 team.
instead of worrying about moving up a spot in the poll and going home for christmas, the cats need to be in the gym practicing free throws and learning how to play defense.
You probably need to spend your Christmas break working on your personality.
kristen geil’s abs… great line..very funny.
your comment is the reason i read the comments…love to see knuckleheads ridiculed.
Funny how Arizona and ‘Cuse are 1-2 and they haven’t play any top yet..
Arizona beat Duke on a neutral floor and won at Michigan. So what would your top 5 be then?
#4 didn’t Arizona beat duke?
Can somebody help me. The podcast (google based) won’t load anything since dec 18. Did the ksr podcast move?
Polls are unless until conference. Then they’re still useless because some conferences suck.
My God. You’ve just killed James Bond.
You don’t kill James Bond and wait for the cops to arrive!
We’ve got to get this body outta here!
An irate UK fan to call out Randle for not standing up to cheer on his teammates in 3… 2…

Any word on the podcasts? All I want for Christmas is my podcasts!!!
I just don’t understand these polls. How can we be ahead of NC when they beat us? Yes, we beat Belmont and Belmont beat them, but doesn’t head-to-head count more? I just don’t think we’re a top 25 team right now, but we can be top 5 if Cal can get this team to gel over the next few weeks. UL game will set the tone for rest of the season.
How is this difficult to understand? Their losses are far worse than our losses. If UNC loses every game the rest of the season and we win out, should they still be ranked higher?
Yes. UNC has worse losses but they also beat 2 top 5 teams and UK. UK hasnt beaten anyone yet so its not as clear as you make it seem
You do realize that North Carolina just barely escaped with an overtime victory at home vs. Davidson on Saturday? In addition to their bad losses, that had to hurt them again this week in the polls.
Early season polls are so misleading. For example, Ohio State is nowhere near the the 3rd best team in the country. Their schedule is one of the more fascinating collections of home games against no-name teams that college basketball has ever seen. I can’t remember which media outlet said it, but it’s true that if UK had OSU’s schedule, the Cats would be undefeated and the #1 ranked team in the country. Instead, Cal chooses to challenge his team (and they will be better for it).
These top 5 teams have an easier schedule because they actually play good teams in their conference. UK has to schedule good non conference teams because Florida and maybe Missouri is all they have to compete with in their conference.
And yet the Big 10 has 1 championship since 1990. It’s like saying the SEC is the best football conference without the 7 championships in a row backing it up. Why can’t the Big 10 win championships? Last year was great when guys like Eamonn Brennan thought they was going to be an all Big 10 final 4.
