Kentucky Moves Up Three Spots in AP Poll

Kentucky is moving on up in the polls after consecutive SEC wins. The Wildcats jumped from fifteenth to No. 12 following victories over Mississippi State and on the road at Tennessee.

Unlike most college basketball polls this season, there wasn’t much movement. The top nine teams in America remained stagnant after avoiding upsets. Villanova was the only team that fell out of the top ten. Marquette and Penn State were two of the biggest movers in this weeks polls. Take a look at the entire AP Top 25:

Looks about right for a change. I’m surprised the AP didn’t move Duke up a few spots. Glad they didn’t but I’m sure they were at least tempted.

Penn St moving 9 spots up? What’s up with that?

The Cats control their own destiny. sneak out of Baton Rouge with a win, and beat Auburn at home, and they could work themselves onto a possible 2-seed and definitely a 3 if they avoid any more “bad” lossed. But I consider Vandy to be a dangerous game at their place. Gotta play them better than we did at home.

The only thing that’s really hurting this team is the ball handling. Way too many unforced turnovers. Hagans had been the main culprit in this area but it’s not just Hagans it’s the entire team. They clean that up this team will be dangerous in the Tourny.

Agree, RealCatsFan, this will not be an easy game. But encouraged by the fact that the Cats have been playing better on the
      road than at Rupp.
