How big was Kentucky’s win at Georgia last night? The Cats jumped ten spots in the new NET rankings to No. 27. Georgia fell from No. 36 to No. 55, but since it was an away game for Kentucky, the win remains in Quadrant 1, which is very good for the Cats’ resume. They now have three Quadrant 1 wins (Michigan State, Louisville, at Georgia) and two Quadrant 1 losses (Ohio State, Utah).

A look at UK’s upcoming opponents and where they stand in the new NET rankings:

  • Alabama (Home: Jan. 11) – 60
  • South Carolina (Home: Jan. 15) – 136
  • Arkansas (Away: Jan. 18) – 21
  • Georgia (Home: Jan. 21) – 55
  • Texas Tech (Away: Jan. 25) – 34
  • Vanderbilt (Home: Jan. 29; Away: Feb. 11) – 127
  • Auburn (Away: Feb. 1; Home: Feb. 29) – 6
  • Mississippi State (Home: Feb. 4) – 73
  • Tennessee (Away: Feb. 8; Home: March 3) – 70
  • Ole Miss (Home: Feb. 15) – 89
  • LSU (Away: Feb. 18) – 28
  • Florida (Home: Feb. 22; Away: March 7) – 42
  • Texas A&M (Away: Feb. 25) – 147

Those games vs. Auburn are huge…
