      Wisconsin will be Wisconsin…

      Michigan State is ranked 19th. Where’s Louisville, though…? 😉

Not sold on Maryland or Virginia… Iowa State with a new coach is a question mark, as well. UNC will be solid if they stay away from probation… Should be a good year of college basketball with a lot of parity. Already looking forward to it!

This Cbb season is wide open for everyone, and I think Kentucky has the best team. Iowa state will be good regardless of coach, and UNC should be good too, but I don’t think they’re a #1 team. And it’s got to be to the point where we should stop ranking witchita state so high, they never live up to the hype.

Not sold on Maryland, and they left out Perdue, they’ll be a top 10 team. They put IU way too high, but the author is a IU grad so go figure.

Vandy shouldn’t even be in the top 20, especially when LSU and TAMU is on there, both those schools will be better. Vandy will be the fourth best in the SEC.

    My top 5 would be:

    1: UNC
    2:UK
    3:Duke
    4:Perdue
    5:Maryland

couple of things… LSU will never be a top tier team with Johnny Jones as their coach… He’s absolutely awful… Secondly, why do you refer to Purdue as Perdue? Or are you just misspelling that?

Have you never heard of the Perdue Fighting Hens? They aren’t chicken to play anybody! They were preseason ranked last year but laid an egg.

Who cares if SEC schools are over ranked in the preseason polls! I’m just happy to see them there!

As bad as I hate to say it—- I think Duke will be the better team in North Carolina by March.

Maryland has a very nice squad as well. I do think IU has the potential to give them a run in the conference.

With all that being said, I’m more excited about this years team than last years. Wait, What?

We will see, this is the same UNC squad that likes to make stupid mistakes. They have all the talent to be elite, but the mistakes makes them just good.

UK would beat the tar out of UNC or Maryland

Ugh, Maryland. As someone who lives in DC, seeing Maryland ahead of UK, especially at #1, is as bad as having Louisville or Indiana in that spot. Maryland fans are the worst!

Who cares? Let’s play! All that matters is who is no.1 come first week of April! Go Cats!

I’m just glad they didn’t rank us Pre-season #1 again. To start with all of the 40-0 hype, to then dropping out of the top 15 really hurt our confidence in the latter part of the regular season. #3 is a perfect spot, especially when half of our team has never even played a college game.

At least this version of UK has true leadership and a gritty PG.

    # 3 sounds about right. Anywhere from # 2 to # 5 is probably reasonable. Not a lot of difference in the top five, honestly.

Cats lose 7 players to the NBA, bring in a few really good players, get #3. Cards lose 3 players, bring in the #7 class in the country…. Unranked.
