Kentucky is No. 11 in the new AP poll

With a little help from our friends at Wisconsin, Iowa and UMass, the University of Kentucky basketball team is up three spots to No. 11 in this week’s Associated Press college basketball poll.
Arizona received all but two of the 65 first place votes, ahead of Syracuse at No. 2. Two-loss Florida moved ahead of undefeated Wichita State to that dangerous No. 3 spot in the Top 25, where teams are 1-5 in the last three weeks.
UK’s RPI took a slight hit with Michigan State falling to No. 7 and Baylor dropping out of the rankings. Louisville is No. 12 behind the Cats.

Hahaha we leapfrogged the dirty birds!!
They should be behind us all year. 3 ranked teams, 3 losses. Point Blank Period.
Here come the crying Louisville fans. Wahh, wahh, goes Tha Truff.
Would be impressive if rankings meant something, Meet You In March.
No you won’t, UL will get beat way before they make to UK.
I am truly sorry you misread my comment. I don’t expect to meet UL in the tourney this year. I’m commenting of how the rankings aren’t reality. UK will be a nemesis for everyone.
Oh, my bad. Just used to there being so many trolls on here.
Cats need to take care of business on the road this week, and they could find themselves inside the Top Ten for their home stand next week.
will beat LSwho by 25 also if we get 20 fast break points again and at least 16 assists again…
Only thing between the cats and a high seed now is a W in the road games. Its a difference maker. Free throws!
Early in the season we were shooting threes off the dribble for a low percentage. Now were getting the ball inside and kicking back out and our percentage is much better. These guys are maturing and jelling and still can play much better. Especially on defense. They will be scary in March. NATL CHAMPS.
Back when UK was dropping like a stone in the rankings, some national writer was quoted on KSR as saying something like “Don’t worry, Kentucky will be back in the top ten by the end of January.” He missed it by one.
If it wasn’t for that bs game at Arkansas, UK would be ranked about 6th-8th.
I like how everyone keeps saying “rankings don’t matter this time of year” – am I the only one that doesn’t agree with that? Of course they matter!! The lower you are ranked the harder it is to work your way back up to get a good seed in march.
Whose the picture with Bluegrass?
