Kentucky is a 22-point favorite over Albany

The line is out for Kentucky basketball’s season opener and the Cats are favored by 22 points over Albany.

I know very little about Albany, but I do know it returns two-time America East Tournament Most Outstanding Performer, Peter Hooley, for a fifth year. Hooley will lead a veteran Great Danes squad that finished the 2014-15 season ranked No. 13 in the College Insider Mid-Major Poll.

Albany is No. 2 this year in the America East Preseason Poll, with two first-place votes and 55 total points, behind Stony Brook.

Gamble responsibly.

Albany is a pretty good team. I gully expect them to be an NCAA tourney team. And a team that could pull an upset. This game should help prepare the guys for Tuesday.

The spread for this game has not been released. Typically, College basketball spreads do not get released until the day of. You are getting your spread from . That is not a sports book and they do not take bets. The spread they released is nothing more than what their bloggers collectively think it will be.

Looks like Billy Donovan in the background. I see that a 33-2 Florida team beat Albany by 12 in the 2014 NCAA . Number 12 Hooley was 1-10 in that game.
