Kentucky has two top-five signees in updated Rivals rankings

Remember the narrative that John Calipari had lost his touch on the recruiting trail and couldn’t sign top-five talent anymore?

Kentucky now has two in the class of 2020.

In Rivals’ latest recruiting rankings, five-star guards BJ Boston and Terrence Clarke both came in ranked in the top five, with the former jumping 13 spots to No. 4 overall and the latter coming in at No. 5.

Former Kentucky targets Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green are ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, followed by five-star center Evan Mobley at No. 3, Boston at No. 4, and Clarke at No. 5.

Take a look:

Outside the top five, Kentucky signee Devin Askew came in at No. 26 overall as the No. 7 point guard in the nation, followed by Isaiah Jackson at No. 27 overall as the No. 3 power forward.

To close out Kentucky’s recruiting class, Lance Ware moved up to No. 32 overall (No. 3 PF) and earned a fifth star, followed by Cam’Ron Fletcher at No. 42 (No. 8 small forward), giving the Cats six signees in the top 42, four in the top 30, and two in the top five.

In terms of UK’s remaining targets, five-star forward Greg Brown came in at No. 8 overall and the No. 2 small forward, while Cliff Omoruyi made a significant jump, moving up 19 spots to No. 36 overall and No. 7 at the center position.
