Kentucky drops two spots in AP Poll following loss to Auburn

After Saturday’s loss at Auburn, Kentucky is down two spots in the new AP Poll to No. 15. The Tigers, previously No. 17, jumped all the way to No. 11, which seems like a bit of an overreaction, in my opinion.

The top four teams remain the same — Baylor, Gonzaga, Kansas, and San Diego State — while Louisville moved up a spot to No. 5. LSU moved up four spots to No. 18. Here’s the entire poll for your viewing pleasure:

How neat, up to #11 with the help of the refs!

A lot had to do with a bunch of top 10-15 teams losing on Saturday. So it not entirely surprising to me. The refs without question help out Auburn and the reason was probably political. However we can’t blame the refs for Auburn out working us through out the game and destroying us on the glass. No substantially smaller team should ever be allowed to out muscle and destroy a substantially bigger team on the glass like Kentucky allowed Auburn to do. It’s unexcusable. Had the script been reversed and we had destroyed them on the glass, we win that game by 10+ despite the refs being pro Auburn and thier FT’s

SO sick of our fans blaming losses on Ref’s look we have a very SOFT team and there is not a tough kid on this team, Hagans is a turnover machine that is out of control he throws up prayers towards the backboard and hopes it goes in and as we see most don’t go in. Richards has gotten much better but still if the other team has bigs that will put the muscle to him he will mostly not shine, EJ well not even going to waist good ink on him. Maxey is about the only one we have on this team that is tough minded and has the grit what it takes to win big games it has become more of a aggravation to watch Kentucky basketball the last few years the joy I once had is slowly melting away, I hate the one and done rule and I hope the NCAA makes a change and fast because it is killing the college game, if you had one or two kids that think they are going to be one and done and not 5 or 6 it would be one thing but this crap has to stop.

If only they could be as tough as you bro. People don’t understand the courage it takes to call people out behind the anonymity of a computer screen! I say let’s continue to say bad things about a bunch of teenaged boys. Go get em tiger, maga…amirite?

Dave1964….. What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

NCAA cannot make a change in the rule. Not their rule to begin with. Need to address the NBA Players Association.
      They are to blame.

With the parity in college basketball this year Kentucky has as much chance as anyone to win it all. Sure, this is a flawed team but name one that isn’t? The last I checked there are games still yet to be played. Which means the season isn’t over yet! There’s still time to work and get better! I’ve got faith that this team and coaching staff will do just that. Go Cats!!!

Quickly is pretty tough as well, kid plays hard. Ashton has to keep mind in game, be more careful with the ball,He’s the leader, has to lead by example.
Team not done yet, I still see these guys room to improve. Will they ? We shall see !
