Duke took over the top spot from Kansas due to its bludgeoning of Kentucky in the season opener.

I am fine with this. I honestly expected us to fall to about #15-#18. Kentucky needs a reason to fight. These next 8 games are WINS. If the cats lose even one of them then it is time to give concern. For now, lets relax. Duke proved they’re not immortal after last nights game. Army held the game close for 30 minutes. ARMY ACTUALLY PLAYS DEFENSE! They just had no depth and got worn down after 30 minutes. Coach needs to preach defense defense defense to this team or it is going to be a very long season.

It could have been much worse; 3rd in SEC looks about right…for now.

Yes on the defense. Last 10 minutes of Southern Illinois game, they actually looked interested on defense, which helped them tremendously on offense.

    They are being generous.

Yes, they are being VERY generous. UK is not a top 25 team, currently, but lots of young and raw talent that hopefully will mature. We (BBN) hope things start coming together rather quickly for this group or this will be a long difficult season.

Look at the polls. We are behind Tennessee and Auburn

I believe he was saying in his opinion, currently, they are not top 3 in the conference. Disregard the AP poll.

Gotcha…..but as much as I hate to type this, we need to be very concerned about at least 3-4 teams in the SEC, as our conference is going to be poison this year. Tennesse is a legitimate Final 4 contender. Auburn and Mississippi State are both better than anyone realizes, and LSU isn’t far behind. Vanderbilt is vastly improved as well. We’ll need rapid improvement in all aspects of the game to win on the road in any of those venues. Not saying we can’t do it, but it’s gonna take an effort and a lot of improvement from recent performances, particularly from PJ Washington and Ashton Hagans.

We do have the talent, no doubt about that…..just when does the light come on ?? We’ve got a cupcake parade to figure some of it out.

About to get worse I imagine. If we can get to our conference schedule without 2-3 more losses I’ll be happy.

I’m just glad most of the country was watching election coverage and just saw the score, which, while ugly, wasn’t the half of it. They’ll be fine, but after the Bahamas, I sure didn’t see that coming.
